This site allows researchers to filter petitions from the White House’s We the People site, which was active from September 22, 2011, through January 20, 2021. Petitions can be filtered by subject, keyword, date created, and minimum and maximum number of signatures. For petitions from 2011 through 2015, users can also download the total number of signatures by ZIP code for individual petitions. For many petitions, users can download a list of the timestamps (in Eastern time) and, when available, ZIP codes of every signature on an individual petition. Downloads are in CSV format.
Note that only petitions with 149 or more signatures are included in this dataset.
